Banks ‘ margin on mortgage loans rises

Fsa publish banks ‘ margin on mortgage loans each quarter. In June 2017, the margin was 1,73%. At the end of the last quarter, in march, was bolånemarginalen 1.72%. The gross margin is today at a historically high level.

The higher gross margin in the last quarter is explained by two factors. First, the banks ‘ funding cost for market funding, the share of the funding which are not deposits, for both short and long maturities.
