The stock market: Ica today’s losers

Ica AB is one of the Nordic region’s leading retail companies (50% of the Swedish grocery retail trade), which in 2009 had approximately 2 to 220 of its own and retailer-stores in Sweden, Norway and the Baltic countries. The group includes Ica Sweden and Rimi Baltic and Ica Bank which offers financial services to Swedish customers. Ica AB is owned by the listed company, the ICA Group AB

Shares traded just after the opening to 313 dollars, it means that the share falls by close to 5 per cent. The company came into the day with its report for the second quarter, where operating profit during the half-year was lower than expected, if the properties are removed.

Ica’s operating profit landed at 1 259 million for the second quarter.
